About Tropical Past and Future

Since 2016, Tropical Past & Future residents Prince of Queens (Combo Chimbita), Adrian is Hungry (Barrio Collective) and Little Dynasty (Names You Can Trust) have come together to create a unique vision of a tropical club from a New York City perspective. 

The musical offer draws from the many connections of NY’s musical community and the ongoing transatlantic music exchange - all which has manifested itself within vinyl record culture, both classic and contemporary. Whether it's Haitian kompas, African high life, Colombian cumbias, or house music with deep Afro-Latin roots, the focus is always on the DANCE.  

Each of TP&F's residents have contributed to the global tropical scene in their own ways, from producing and releasing numerous records to performing across the US and Europe, to organizing multiple events with NYC's immigrant artist community.
